“The Bell BLACKWALL Streetster”

Bell Sports, Inc. 27in Road Kevlar Tire — 

I was skeptical of these tires at first, but decided to give them a try as a training tire while I was preparing to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was so impressed by them that I decided to use them as my tires for that ride. It was the right decision. No flats despite riding through glass and potholes at thirty mph that I couldn't avoid due to traffic. I weigh ~200 lbs, had fifty pounds of gear and the bike weighs 26 lbs. Over 275 lbs on these tires and no problems. After 1,000 miles of riding (without the extra weight of camping gear) they look as good as new and still no flats. Traction has been excellent on dry/wet asphalt, grass and packed dirt. So far, this tire model (Bell Sports #1002020) is the best 27" tire that I have owned.
